The Harvest Praise Story

‘Harvest Praise’ (HP) is a musical outreach program, initiated by Harvest International Ministries (HIM), in 1998 and has run for over 20 years now. It was first held at the National Theater, moved to the Dome at the Accra International Conference Center, and then in the main auditorium of the Accra International Conference Center. The 2018 Edition was held at the new Fantasy Dome. The program has enjoyed continuous massive patronage and has grown tremendously to the point where there is the need to hold two sessions (afternoon and evening), at the Accra International Conference Centre, the case from 2013 to date.

‘Harvest Praise’ is held every Good Friday, and our goal is to influence lives positively through quality live musical and drama performances in a setting of unique ambiance. Over the past years, ‘Harvest Praise’ has featured many renowned local gospel artiste such as Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Soul Winners, Danny Nettey, No Tribe, Ohemah Mercy, Cecilia Marfo and Qwesi Oteng, Joe Mettle, Edwin Dadson, KODA among others. ‘Harvest Praise’ has established itself as the program of choice for many musicians in Ghana.

Our event has also featured world renowned musicians such as Andrae Crouch (USA), UK’s finest and ever refreshing Vinesong, Benjamin Dube (SA), Bob Fitts (USA), Darwin Hobbs (USA), Kurt Carr (USA), Nathaniel Bassey (Nigeria) and Uche Agu (Nigeria) and Byron Cage (USA), Todd Dulaney (USA), Anthony Brown and Group TherAPy (USA), Victoria Orenze (Nigeria).

‘Harvest Praise’ also provides a platform for the creation of healthy family relationships and projects values such as sharing, caring and a sense of belonging. In line with the values projected by ‘Harvest Praise’ a Social Integration Project (SIP) has been launched, which is aimed at fostering interaction of the less privileged with other members of society, beginning with attendance at ‘Harvest Praise’ events. Hence, annually, we reach out to orphans and the physically challenged.

The ‘Harvest Praise’ platform has also initiated a children’s’ wing dubbed ‘HP Kidz’ which targets children between the ages of 4 and 12. ‘HP Kidz’ is a very interactive program with activities such as choreography, drama and action songs. ‘Harvest Praise’ has always been a family program therefore this innovation, ‘HP Kidz’, brings diversity to the platforms the whole family can benefit from.
