Known for his dexterity in music, Tim Godfrey is one name that cannot be ignored in the gospel music industry in Nigeria. With a musical experience of over 20 years, He has proved himself as a pioneer of music with his creative infusion of contemporary fills into traditional gospel music.

Born in kaduna state, Tim Godfrey is one man who has always had a passion for music even from birth and this is evident in the success story of his very first album “SOUND CHECK” in 2005 which played host to resounding hit singles like AGIDIGBA, ORIKI amongst many others.

After more than a decade of being music director, voice coach, song writer, and producer, Tim Godfrey shows no signs of slowing down, his ability to come up with new creative sounds in each single has endeared a lot of loyal music lovers to him and that has enabled him sell out events outrightly.

Tim Godfrey maintains a multi-faceted career as a recording/performing Artiste, music director, voice coach, producer, writer and musical concert clinician.

He has garnered awards and nominations such as: one AGMA AWARD UK,  two KINGDOM AFRICA AWARDS, one PBOF AWARD, one ABC MUSIC MINISTER’S RECOGNITION AWARD, one Outstanding performance Award TPH, Nigeria, only Nigeria gospel Artiste in the nomination list (Best international Act) BEFFTA AWARD UK 2011. Nominee best Artiste of the year FUTURE awards 2012, one NEA Award U.S.A. BEST GOSPEL ARTISTE/GROUP OF THE YEAR 2012.

Tim Godfrey is a strong believer in legacy and that has played out in the establishment of his record label ROX NATION. ROX which stands for REPUBLIC OF XTREME plays host to the XTREME crew founded by Tim in 2004 as well.

Reaching people of all ages is a key component of TIM GODFREY’s vision, and the crew’s mission statement reflects TIM GODFREY’s commitment: “Seeking for his music to creatively impact the world extremely with faith centered, innovative products and services”.

“After more than 10 years in this industry, I’ve learnt so much,” Tim says. “I want to take those lessons as well as my own experiences as a man who grew up in the church and one foot in the streets, and use that to connect with this generation’.

Tim Godfrey has gone on to release 4 albums since the inception of his musical career, He has headlined major events with the likes of Marvin Sapp, Travis Greene and Kirk Franklin. He also organizes an annual concert tagged “FEARLESS WORSHIP” which has garnered a lot of attention and publicity since it’s inception.
